BLOOMINGTON, Minn. (AP) - A woman has been charged with vandalizing the office sign of the Minnesota dentist who killed Cecil the lion.

Prosecutors on Tuesday charged 41-year-old Kimberley Ann Socha of Bloomington with felony damage to property.

Socha is accused of spray painting the sign at Walter Palmer’s suburban Minneapolis dental office. Authorities say two sisters from Florida who were arrested with Socha won’t be charged.

WCCO-TV (https://cbsloc.al/1O67pZB ) reports police were called about 7:30 a.m. Monday after a witness reported the sign had been spray painted.

Socha makes her first court appearance Wednesday. Online court records do not list an attorney who could comment on her behalf.

Palmer returned to work Sept. 8, weeks after his killing of the lion in Zimbabwe sparked a global backlash. He has defended the kill as legal.
