BERNVILLE, Pa. (AP) - Authorities say a fiery collision involving four tractor-trailers on an eastern Pennsylvania interstate sent two of the drivers to a hospital.

State police said the crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. Tuesday in the westbound lanes of I-78 in Berks County’s Upper Bern Township.

Police said traffic was temporarily stopped for transportation department construction, but one rig failed to stop in time.

Police said four tractor-trailers were involved in the subsequent crash, and three were engulfed in flames.

Two of the operators were taken to Reading Hospital for treatment of injuries, and the other two had minor injuries at the scene.

No information was immediately available about the condition of the two drivers taken to the hospital.
