CINCINNATI (AP) - Police say four men and a 3-year-old boy were wounded in a drive-by shooting during a violent night in Cincinnati.

The shootings happened around 8:30 p.m. Monday. Investigators say a car drove by and someone opened fire.

Cincinnati Interim Police Chief Eliot Isaac says the child was struck in the leg. He was taken to the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.

Isaac tells WLWT-TV the shootings were “a senseless act.”

The other victims drove themselves or were transported to hospitals. Police say none had life-threatening injuries.

Police were trying to determine the victims’ relationships. They are asking for the public’s help in identifying suspects.

Police responded to three other, apparently unrelated shootings overnight. One resulted in a man’s death. No arrests had been made by early Tuesday.
