BUFFALO, Minn. (AP) - A sheriff’s deputy has been arrested for drunken driving as he headed to work in Wright County.

Buffalo Police Chief Pat Budke says the deputy was arrested in front of the Wright County Courthouse about 9 a.m. Monday.

Budke says a sheriff’s department employee called police to tell them the deputy might be intoxicated. Budke says the deputy, who works as a bailiff, failed a field sobriety test and was booked into jail.

KSTP-TV (https://bit.ly/1LMDWly ) says the case has been referred to prosecutors.
