ELKO, Nev. (AP) - Commercial flights are again flying between Elko and Salt Lake City with the completion of a runway repaving project.

The Elko Daily Free Press reports (https://bit.ly/1FG09QZ) the Elko Regional Airport runway, last reconstructed in 1987, was repaved along 5,500 feet.

Elko Regional Airport Director Mark Gibbs says hopefully the runway will last another 30 years.

Work on lighting and signage will continue through spring.

A Federal Aviation Administration grant funded much of the $9.6 million project.
