CINCINNATI (AP) - Overnight shutdowns of southbound Interstate 75 near downtown Cincinnati are planned this week for ongoing construction work.

Ohio transportation authorities say full southbound closures are planned at State Route 562/Norwood Lateral just north of Cincinnati. The closures are scheduled to be from 11 p.m. until 5 the next morning each day, Wednesday through Friday.

A full closure earlier scheduled Tuesday night has been canceled, although transportation officials say two southbound lanes will close at 11 p.m. for the contractor’s prep work.

Traffic will be detoured during the shutdowns to westbound I-275, to eastbound I-74 to southbound I-75.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says message boards and signs will alert motorists.

Weather conditions can result in construction schedule changes.
