ANN ARBOR, Mich. (AP) - The University of Michigan says it has agreed to a contract extension with women’s basketball coach Kim Barnes Arico through the 2020-21 season.

Barnes Arico’s three-year contract extension was announced Monday. The university’s athletic department says the contract calls for a base salary of $360,000, with chances for performance-based supplemental pay based on measures such as winning the Big Ten regular season championship.

Barnes Arico has a 62-40 record in three seasons at Michigan, and is the only women’s basketball coach in school history to have three 20-win seasons. The team made it to the second round of the 2013 NCAA tournament in her first season at Michigan.
