CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) - A group that’s urging Vice President Joe Biden to jump in the presidential race is announcing an advisory committee to drum up support in Nevada.

The organization Draft Biden said Tuesday that its nine-member committee included former Clark County Commissioner Tom Collins and Nevada higher education Regent Sam Lieberman.

Other members include Joe Asher, Monica Brett, Bill Marion, Vicenta Montoya, Samantha Weitzel and former Clark County Democratic Party chairmen Elizabeth Foley and John Hunt.

The announcement comes a few weeks after the Draft Biden PAC announced it had recruited a Nevada state director and a Latino outreach coordinator.

The group said it’s building the infrastructure Biden would need to run a successful campaign if he decides to seek the Democratic nomination. Biden has not committed to run.
