LOS ANGELES (AP) - A lockdown at South Los Angeles high school was lifted after police found no evidence of a crime following reports of gunfire near the campus.

Officials said police were dispatched around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday and set up a perimeter near near Dr. Maya Angelou Community High.

Initial reports said a person had been shot. But Officer Liliana Preciado says there were no injuries and no evidence of a crime.

The lockdown was lifted around 9:30 a.m.
