BAY POINT, Calif. (AP) - Officials are investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a shed that burned in suburban San Francisco.

The San Francisco Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1JB54iE ) Thursday that the body was found Wednesday afternoon.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Contra Costa County Fire Marshal Robert Marshall says crews responding to a house fire found the body in the charred shed behind the home.

Propane tanks and other welding gases caused explosions at the scene, the newspaper reported.

The man was not immediately identified.

No other injuries were reported, Marshall said. An initial estimate put the damage caused by the fire at roughly $10,000, the newspaper reported.
