LOS ANGELES (AP) - State prison officials say an inmate who escaped from a Los Angeles re-entry facility where he was finishing out his sentence is back in custody.

The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation says 21-year-old Hugo Andalon was captured Wednesday, a day after he scaled a fence to make his getaway.

The 21-year-old was taken to the California Institution for Men in Chino.

Andalon was serving a two-year sentence for inflicting corporal injury to a spouse and evading a police officer while driving recklessly.

The Community Reentry Program is a voluntary program for inmates who have approximately 120 days left to serve.
