BANGOR, Maine (AP) - A Maine man who collected photos of infants being sexually abused has pleaded guilty to transporting child pornography.

The Portland Press Herald reports (https://bit.ly/1NZV1ch ) that 41-year-old Robert Kinney Jr., of Blaine, changed his plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

As part of a plea deal, two other charges of receiving and possessing child pornography were dropped.

Kinney was arrested Sept. 26 by Maine State Police, who acted on a tip. They searched Kinney’s electronic devices and found the photos of infants being molested.

Authorities say Kinney used an email account to transmit the images out of Maine.

Kinney remains in custody. He faces between five and 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000.
