LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A Memphis man has been sentenced to eight years in prison in the theft of 107 guns in Arkansas that were to be sold in Texas.

The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette (https://bit.ly/1Nc06yR ) reports Mario Marquell Ward was sentenced Wednesday and ordered to pay about $153,000 in restitution. He had pleaded guilty in May to one count of possession of stolen firearms.

According to prosecutors, Ward and three other men targeted a parked semitrailer in January that was transporting the weapons from a Gander Mountain stores distribution center in Indiana to Houston, Texas.

Authorities say the men broke into the semitrailer while it was parked overnight at a roadside truck parking area, stole the weapons and took them to Memphis to be sold. Police say other items including computers, tires and bicycles were also stolen.
