ANNAPOLIS, Md. (AP) - The Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney office in Maryland says a man who failed to appear at sentencing for attempted murder has been arrested in Texas.

County state’s attorney Wes Adams said in a news release that 54-year-old Dennis Patrick Schultz of Pasadena, Maryland, was arrested Thursday in Boerne, Texas. Adams says his office has begun extradition proceedings.

Authorities say Schultz pleaded guilty in June to attempted murder in the Feb. 24 shooting of a man his wife was having a relationship with.

A judge put Schultz on house arrest and ordered him to wear an ankle bracelet until sentencing. Schultz did not appear at his sentencing on Aug. 11.
