MANDAN, N.D. (AP) - Authorities have released the name of a 31-year-old Mandan man killed when his sport utility vehicle struck a stationary rail car in McLean County.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says Luke Meiers was killed in the Aug. 28 afternoon wreck on Frontage Road a block south of Main Street after the SUV hit a Canadian Pacific rail car. The crash partially derailed the car and came to rest under its belly.
