COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Columbus police say a woman has been arrested in the death of a baby girl in May from ingesting narcotic drugs.

Police say 31-year-old Erica M. Barley of Reynoldsburg turn herself in Thursday morning and was arrested on charges of involuntary manslaughter and endangering children. She was taken to the Franklin County Jail.

Police say officers responded May 27 at 5:20 p.m. to a home on Columbian Avenue and found the 14-month-old girl unresponsive. The girl, Annabella Sagstetter, was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

A police news release didn’t say if the girl and the suspect were related or provide details on the circumstances of the child’s death. A police spokesman didn’t immediately return a call Thursday for comment.
