PHOENIX (AP) - The Phoenix Zoo is closed for a third straight day as cleanup continues from a damaging monsoon storm earlier in the week.

The Monday night storm knocked down or damaged numerous trees and officials say the zoo remains closed Thursday as workers use heavy equipment to remove debris and clean up exhibits for a reopening as soon as possible.

Officials have said no animals were injured and that all were accounted for.

Lightning, rain and wind from the storm damaged buildings and caused numerous power outages in parts of Phoenix and its suburbs.
