CRESSKILL, N.J. (AP) - A small Coast Guard Auxiliary plane has crashed in northern New Jersey.

The plane crashed late Thursday afternoon in a field near a swim club in Cresskill, Bergen County.

The Coast Guard says two crewmembers were taken to Hackensack Hospital. Their conditions were unknown. Television reports say the two appeared to be conscious.

The Coast Guard says the crewmembers were on a routine patrol over the Hudson River when the plane made an emergency crash landing at about 4:45 p.m.

The Coast Guard Auxiliary is a volunteer organization that supports the Coast Guard in promoting safety for recreational boaters
