JUDGE CLEARS WAY FOR 48-YEAR-OLD’S TRANSGENDER SURGERY OPPOSED BY PARENTS

The parents of Christine Kitzler, born biologically male but who identifies as female, tried to stop the surgery saying Kitzler is mentally incompetent. But Kitzler convinced a suburban Philadelphia judge that the surgery is a positive thing.

THREE YOUNG MEN DUE FOR SENTENCING IN I-80 ROCK-THROWING THAT CRITICALLY INJURED OHIO TEACHER



A judge will decide today what punishment is appropriate for Tyler Porter, Dylan Lahr and Keefer McGee for the July 2014 attack along Interstate 80 in central Pennsylvania. The nearly 5-pound rock crashed through the front windshield of the car in which Sharon Budd was riding, striking her directly. She’s already had seven surgeries.

JUDGE TO DECIDE WHETHER WINE GOES DOWN THE DRAIN OR DOWN THE HATCH

The dispute between state prosecutors and Chester County Hospital will decide the fate of nearly 1,400 bottles of confiscated wine. The hospital wants to auction off the wine as a fundraiser under an obscure 1935 law. Prosecutors, who seized the wine from a man charged with illegally selling it from home, want it destroyed.

SECRET SERVICE RELEASES LIST OF BANNED ITEMS FOR POPE’S PHILADELPHIA VISIT

Selfie sticks will be banned, along with balloons, bicycles, pets, hard-sided coolers, laser pointers, drones, anything made of glass, and, not surprisingly, weapons and explosives. Small bags and backpacks are OK, as are signs made of cardboard, poster board or cloth, if they’re not larger than 5-by-3 feet.
