SHERIDAN, Wyo. (AP) - Towns surrounding Sheridan came together to fight two grass fires in the area.

The Sheridan Press reports (https://bit.ly/1KKy77G ) that the two fires scorched about 160 acres and several small buildings Tuesday. Volunteer firefighters from the Dayton, Big Horn and Ranchester fire departments, along with Sheridan Fire-Rescue, joined Goose Valley Volunteer Fire Department on the scene of the first fire, which was started by a downed power line.

When the second fire began at the Sheridan County Sportsman Gun Club several neighbors and community members showed up to help fight the fire.

The cause of the second is under investigation. No homes or large structures were lost in the blazes, though a few small sheds at the gun club were damaged.
