BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Four people have died in two crashes about 20 miles apart on U.S. Highway 2 in northeastern Montana.

The Montana Highway Patrol says three people were killed in a head-on crash east of Frazer Tuesday evening. And a 44-year-old Great Falls man died in a rollover crash Wednesday morning near Wolf Point.

Trooper Seth Adams tells The Billings Gazette (https://bit.ly/1KMsEf7 ) that the two pickup trucks that collided caught fire. Adams says the severity of the wreck and fire delayed the investigation. Troopers were still working Wednesday to identify the victims.

The Great Falls man was westbound Wednesday morning when his pickup drifted off the south side of the road. The patrol says he overcorrected twice, causing the pickup to roll several times. The man died at the scene. His name hasn’t been released.
