TRENTON, N.J. (AP) - Another member of a large-scale drug trafficking ring that sold heroin at the Jersey Shore is headed to prison.

Federal prosecutors say Anthony Brooks received a six-year sentence Wednesday. He also will have to serve four years of supervised release once he’s freed from prison.

The 46-year-old San Bernadino, California man had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute heroin.

Brooks admitted that from November 2013 and March 2014, he mailed packages containing large quantities of heroin and cocaine from California to conspirators in New Jersey, including someone who supplied heroin to the Britt-Young DTO.

The conspirators in New Jersey transported and packaged the drugs and then distributed them to others.

Prosecutors say 19 of the 21 people accused of roles in the drug ring have pleaded guilty to various charges.
