NEW YORK (AP) - Two children were seriously injured when a livery cab jumped a curb and slammed into them and their mother and two other kids on a Bronx sidewalk.

It happened at about 7:45 a.m. Wednesday at Valentine Avenue and East Kingsbridge Road in Fordham Manor.

The New York Post citing witnesses (https://bit.ly/1POgl31 ) says the victims were waiting for a bus when they were hit by the Uber car.

An 8-year-old girl and her 5-year-old brother were hospitalized with broken bones and trauma. The mother was hospitalized in stable condition. Officials say two other children suffered minor injuries.

A spokesman for the Taxi and Limousine Commission says the 57-year-old driver remained at the scene. No criminality is suspected.
