COLCHESTER, Vt. (AP) - Officials say the Colchester man shot by police in a mobile home park earlier this month has been released from the hospital.

Chittenden County State’s Attorney T.J. Donovan tells the Burlington Free Pass (https://bfpne.ws/1O1HzEv ) 20-year-old James Hemingway was scheduled for arraignment Tuesday on charges of disorderly conduct and simple assault. But the hearing was postponed due to a review of the charges. He was released from the hospital Monday.

Officers were called to a mobile home last week on a report of a man threatening to kill himself. Officers saw Hemingway through the window holding a rifle.

Police then saw Hemingway get into his car with a rifle. He started to drive off, but then stopped and got out. Authorities say two Burlington officers fired at him.

It’s unclear if he has an attorney.
