Murder-suicide suspected in deaths of woman, granddaughter

EUREKA, Mo. (AP) - A woman and child have been found dead in a hotel room near Six Flags St. Louis, and authorities suspect murder-suicide.

KTVI-TV (https://bit.ly/1N1autz ) reports that Eureka police officers were called to a Holiday Inn Tuesday after hotel staff found the bodies. Lt. Dave Wilson says a 51-year-old woman and her 6-year-old granddaughter both died from gunshot wounds.

Their names, and a potential motive for the shooting, have not been released.
