STAUNTON, Va. (AP) - An 85-year-old Staunton man will go on trial on March 22 in the 1983 disappearance of another man.

The News Leader (https://bit.ly/1P5tqa5) reports Charles Almond’s jury trial will be held in Augusta County Circuit Court.

Almond was charged with first-degree murder in May in the death of 20-year-old Richard Miller Jr. of Swoope.

Miller was set to marry Almond’s stepdaughter but went missing a week before their wedding in November 1983.
