McALLEN, Texas (AP) - Officials say nobody has been hurt when the wing of an American Airlines commuter jet touched a runway during landing at a South Texas airport.

American Eagle Flight 5786 safely landed Tuesday at McAllen Miller International Airport.

KXAS-TV (https://bit.ly/1N0p4Sb ) reports the incident happened on a flight from Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.

Mesa Airlines, which operates the Bombardier CRJ900 for American, says passengers exited the aircraft normally. The statement says the jet has been removed from service for inspection for possible damage.
