SYRACUSE, N.Y. (AP) - New York’s governor has taken the top members of his administration to Syracuse and its surrounding communities as part of his “capital for a day” series.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo held a cabinet meeting at a Holiday Inn in Liverpool Wednesday morning. The Democratic governor briefed local leaders at the meeting on efforts to boost the upstate economy and reduce taxes.

Later in the day Cuomo visited the state fairgrounds in Syracuse and joined executives at Anheuser-Busch InBev’s Baldwinsville brewery to announce a $62 million upgrade at the facility.

Other administration officials spent the day with local leaders, business owners and residents in the region.

The Democratic governor has held similar “capital for a day” events in Utica and Rochester this year.
