KALISPELL, Mont. (AP) - Flathead County officials have released the name of a 50-year-old man who died in a chain-reaction crash west of Kalispell.

Sheriff Chuck Curry says Montie Reynolds of Kalispell died in the crash at 8 p.m. Sunday.

The Montana Highway Patrol says Reynolds was eastbound on Farm to Market Road when he rear-ended a sport utility vehicle that braked suddenly to avoid a deer in the road. He was thrown into the westbound lane and about 30 seconds later was struck and killed by a westbound pickup truck.
