IRENE, S.D. (AP) - A rural Irene man has died after becoming trapped in a grain bin full of corn.

The Yankton County Sheriff’s Department says 22-year-old Aaron Engen died Tuesday morning after attempts to rescue him failed. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Crews cut open the bin and removed the grain to recover Engen’s body. The Yankton Daily Press and Dakotan reports (https://bit.ly/1YOf4PM ) that the recovery took about two hours.
