JEANNETTE, Pa. (AP) - A serial purse thief who police said dragged a pregnant woman across a parking lot and barreled over a western Pennsylvania county’s assistant district attorney has been sentenced to 12½ to 25 years in prison.

The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review (https://bit.ly/1Rg6fJi ) reports that 39-year-old Jason Price pleaded guilty Tuesday to charges of robbery, aggravated assault and offenses related to six incidents in July and August 2014 in which he and an accomplice targeted women in parking lots throughout Westmoreland County.

Before imposing the sentence, Judge Christopher Feliciani said “it’s hard to imagine one person could do so much havoc to so many people.”

North Huntington Police arrested the Jeannette resident and a co-conspirator on Aug. 8 after they attempted to steal the pregnant woman’s purse in a Wal-Mart parking lot.
