LONDON, Ohio (AP) - An Ohio woman who authorities say crashed head-on into another car, killing a Columbus woman, has pleaded guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide.

The Columbus Dispatch reports (https://bit.ly/1P4VFFT ) that 24-year-old Mattison Skoog, of Columbus, entered the plea Tuesday in a Madison County court. She faces up to nine years in prison.

Authorities said that Skoog’s blood-alcohol level was more than twice the legal limit March 24 when she drove west in the eastbound Interstate 70 lanes before crashing into another car.

Police said 32-year-old Maribel Pablo Mijangos, a passenger in the car, died on the way to a hospital. Two other adults and three children were hospitalized with minor injuries.

Skoog’s attorney says his client is “very remorseful” about what happened. She is scheduled to be sentenced Oct. 27.
