GREENVILLE, Ala. (AP) - A south Alabama man is charged with murder in the death of a man whose body was found stuffed in a freezer.

WSFA-TV (https://bit.ly/1FnykaG ) reports that Butler County authorities have charged 25-year-old Adrian Carter of Greenville in the slaying of Michael Graham.

Sheriff Kenny Harden says the men were acquaintances, but the motive is unclear.

Harden says Carter shot and killed the 39-year-old Graham. He allegedly placed the body in a freezer in Graham’s mobile home near Greenville in July.

Harden says Carter left in Graham’s car and abandoned it in Georgia. Authorities tracked him to North Carolina, and he was held during an investigation.

Carter was returned to Butler County on Thursday.

Court records aren’t available to show whether Carter has a lawyer to speak on his behalf.
