DETROIT (AP) - Authorities say two of four teens who escaped last month from a halfway house on Detroit’s east side have been captured.

A statement from a Wayne County official says a 17-year-old was taken into custody on Wednesday and a 16-year-old was apprehended Tuesday.

Police are seeking the two other teens - ages 16 and 17 - who escaped Aug. 27.

According to police, a security worker was pushed down during the escape when he opened the front door for visiting ministers to leave. The teens fled on foot in different directions on East Grand Boulevard. Police say they had been convicted of “various crimes.”

The escape is under investigation.
