LACONIA, N.H. (AP) - A New Hampshire man has pleaded guilty in the sexual assault of a hotel guest in 2014.

WMUR-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1NQwqrf ) 55-year-old Douglas Fisher entered the plea Thursday to multiple charges and was sentenced to 18 years in prison.

Prosecutors say Fisher broke into the woman’s room at the Margate Resort in Laconia, tied her up and raped her. They say Fisher was working as a maintenance man at the hotel.

Police said a DNA sample taken from the victim helped them identify Fisher because his profile was in a national database. Fisher had pleaded guilty to a drug charge in June 2014.

Prosecutors say Fisher could have his sentence reduced if he completes a sex offender program in prison.
