MOSCOW (AP) - Russian Premier League club Rubin Kazan says coach Rinat Bilyaletdinov will be fired after a poor start to the season.

Two-time champion Rubin has lost six of its first seven league games, although it has managed to qualify for the Europa League group stage.

The poor form has already cost the job of the club president, who resigned on Tuesday after criticism from the regional government, which owns the club.

The new president, Kazan Mayor Ilsur Metshin, tells Russian media a search is underway to replace Bilyaletdinov.
