RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) - Capitol Hill is the place this week for North Carolina business leaders to talk to their elected representatives about commerce and legislative issues and for networking.

The 19th annual North Carolina Business and Economic Development Summit is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday in the Cannon House Office Building in Washington, D.C.

Gov. Pat McCrory and U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx - both former Charlotte mayors - are scheduled to address the group Tuesday afternoon. U.S. Sens. Richard Burr and Thom Tillis and House Ways and Means Chairman Paul Ryan of Wisconsin were on Wednesday’s speaker list.

The event is hosted by North Carolina’s congressional delegation.
