ALAMOSA, Colo. (AP) - Alamosa authorities are looking for an inmate who escaped from the county jail during lunch.

Alamosa County Sheriff Robert Jackson tells the Valley Courier (https://bit.ly/1UzXOOu ) 23-year-old Loren Michael Bianca apparently slipped out Monday behind a cook who was leaving after her shift through a room used to admit new inmates. At the time, Jackson says many jail deputies were also busy serving lunch.

Jackson says Bianca is not considered a threat to the community. He was being held for a charge of failure to appear in court on a felony drug charge.

Jackson says he doesn’t expect to fire any employees because of the escape.

Bianca is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 135 pounds. He has tattoos on his neck, and a tattoo of a cross on his left forearm.
