NEW ROCKFORD, N.D. (AP) - A man accused of fatally shooting a man and injuring a woman at a North Dakota wedding reception made his first appearance in court on Tuesday.

Fifty-one-year-old David A. Troske of rural Eddy County was charged with five counts Tuesday including murder and attempted murder and ordered held on $2 million bond. No attorney was listed in court records.

Troske is accused of fatally shooting 41-year-old Donald Perleberg, of Pingree, in the back with a .22-caliber revolver early Sunday at the Eagles Club in New Rockford. Authorities say he then shot Mary Seiler in the neck and torso before dropping the gun and surrendering.

Seiler is recovering at a Bismarck hospital.

Eddy County Sheriff Paul Lies (leess) told KFGO-AM that nearly 100 people were at the reception during the incident.
