CLEVELAND (AP) - Police say a 28-year-old Cleveland man and a 25-year-old woman were injured in a drive-by shooting in the city’s Mount Pleasant section.

Northeast Ohio Media Group reports (https://bit.ly/1O9CbPU ) the shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. Saturday near the intersection of 112th Street and Union Avenue.

Police say the Bedford Heights woman told officers she and her friend were both shot while sitting in her parked car.

Authorities say the driver of a dark vehicle pulled up to the victims’ car and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene.

The woman was struck in the forearm and the man was shot in his side. Both victims were treated at MetroHealth Medical Center.

The man told police the shooter may have been the father of his ex-girlfriend’s child. No arrests have been made.
