BILLINGS, Mont. (AP) - Billings police say a 65-year-old woman has been hospitalized after a car rolled over her while she was mowing her lawn.

The Billings Gazette reports (https://bit.ly/1IVXHkc ) Sgt. Shawn Finnegan says officers had responded Monday afternoon after a silver Cadillac driven by a 59-year-old woman rolled back and over the woman.

Finnegan says the driver of the Cadillac had failed to put her car in park when she left the vehicle to help get a dog into another car.

The woman mowing her lawn had tried to stop the car as it rolled toward her, but she fell to the ground. She was taken to St. Vincent Healthcare and did not appear to have life-threatening injuries.

The incident continues to be investigated.
