KENMORE, Wash. (AP) - A bicyclist was seriously injured after colliding with a cement truck along the Burke-Gilman Trail in Kenmore.

KOMO-TV reports (https://bit.ly/1LkAPwI ) that deputies and medics were called on Wednesday morning to the site where the popular recreational trail intersects with 65th Avenue NE.

Officials had received a report that a bicyclist was struck by a truck. At the scene, they found a male bicyclist with serious injuries and a cement truck stopped on the side of the street.

The bicyclist’s name was not immediately released. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

The trail and the street were closed while an investigation was conducted.
