BALTIMORE (AP) - A man has been charged with possession of a prescription medication stolen during the riots in Baltimore.

Federal prosecutors say 25-year-old Rashad Robertson of Baltimore was charged in a criminal complaint unsealed Wednesday.

A CVS pharmacy in Penn North was looted and burned on April 27 during riots after the death of Freddie Gray, who was injured while in police custody. According to an affidavit, on June 17, police investigating the looting went to a home about a block away.

Prosecutors say the homeowner agreed to a search and officers saw prescription medications on a dresser in a bedroom. The medications, including Alprazolam, an antianxiety medication often sold under the brand name Xanax, had labels that read CVS Pharmacy.

Authorities say the homeowner told police Robertson lived in the bedroom.
