CUSTER, S.D. (AP) - Authorities say a Montana man has died in the hospital from injuries sustained when he crashed a motorcycle in Custer State Park.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol says 73-year-old William Gregg of Colstrip, Montana, died Tuesday at Rapid City Regional Hospital from injuries he sustained in the one-vehicle wreck.

Authorities say the crash occurred on Sunday when Gregg was riding west on Highway 16A in the park. Officials say Gregg was not wearing a helmet when his motorcycle collided with a guardrail and he was pitched off.
