LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) - A 24-year-old man has been arrested in the death of a man found in a Little Rock street.

Little Rock police officer Richard Hilgeman said in a news release Tuesday the suspect was arrested after he went to the emergency room at Baptist Health Medical Center-Little Rock on Sunday for treatment for “a wound to his left knee.”

According to authorities, 28-year-old Deangelo Boyd was found lying in a street with gunshot wounds near a parked vehicle around 4:15 p.m. Sunday. Paramedics tried to resuscitate Boyd, but he was pronounced dead shortly before 5 p.m.

Another man was found shot several blocks away and was transported to a hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

The suspect faces charges of first-degree murder, first-degree battery and failure to appear on a traffic warrant.
