SHREVEPORT, La. (AP) - Shreveport Police are seeking answers in an early morning shooting that claimed the life of a Bossier City man.

Just after 3:30 a.m. Wednesday, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Interstate 20 west bound at Monkhouse Drive relative to reports that a man was apparently sleeping inside a car parked near the shoulder of the off ramp.

Police spokesman Marcus Hines tells The Times (https://bit.ly/1LXLfFf ) as officers arrived, it was apparent the man was deceased, from what appears to be a gunshot wound to the head. Hines says the man, identified as 31-year-old Mark Anthony Cornett, was pronounced dead by Caddo Parish Coroner’ Office officials.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
