SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - The South Bend Cubs have closed out the 2015 season, shattering an all-time ticket sales record that was set last year.

The minor league baseball team said Tuesday that it sold 347,678 tickets this year, breaking the old record of 258,836 tickets sold. More than half of the team’s home games in 2015 were sold out.

The South Bend Tribune (https://bit.ly/1O0jYVY ) reports the city of South Bend will get about $42,000 in ticket revenue. Actual attendance for the team this year was just shy of 220,000.

The team switched affiliations from the Arizona Diamondbacks to the Chicago Cubs last offseason. The South Bend team also changed its name from the Silver Hawks to the Cubs.
