MUSKEGON HEIGHTS, Mich. (AP) - A task force is investigating a spate of recent shootings — two fatal — in Muskegon Heights.

The Muskegon Chronicle reports (https://bit.ly/1QoFRMU ) Wednesday that a number of police agencies in Muskegon County and the state police are part of the task force.

County Prosecutor D.J. Hilson says “the investigation is starting to unfold and it appears” the shootings may be related. He says the task force has been actively working since Friday afternoon to identify suspects.

No arrests have been made.

Thedrick Bryant was one of four men shot Aug. 30. He died the next day. Marquis Grider-Sims was shot to death Friday.

Darnell Byrd III was found shot to death Saturday. Byrd was one of the men wounded in the Aug. 30 shooting.
