WAXAHACHIE, Texas (AP) - A North Texas grand jury has indicted five volunteer firefighters on charges that they sexually assaulted a man at their fire station as part of a “rite of initiation.”

The two men in charge of the Emergency Services District 6 Volunteer Fire Department at Waxahachie (wahks-uh-HA’-chee) were indicted on charges they tried to cover up the assault. The Ellis County grand jury also indicted a woman who’s accused of recording the incident.

Charged with first-degree felony aggravated sexual assault are fire Lt. Alec Chase Miller, fire Lt. Keith Edward Wisakowsky, and firefighters Casey Joe Stafford, Preston Thomas Peyrot and Blake Jerold Tucker. Charged with second-degree felony aggravated sexual assault is Brittany Leanne Parten. Charged with first-degree felony witness-tampering are Chief Gavin Satterfield and Assistant Chief William Getzendaner.

All have been suspended. Attempts to reach the accused workers or their attorneys were unsuccessful.
