BALTIMORE (AP) - Fire department officials say more than a dozen people were hurt when an MTA bus crashed into two cars in northeast Baltimore.

Officials told media outlets that the crash occurred about 10 a.m. Monday at East Belvedere Avenue and Hillen Road. Authorities say 35 to 40 people were on the bus.

Firefighters say more than a dozen people were injured, and many were taken to area hospitals in another bus. Authorities say none of the injuries appeared to be life-threatening.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
